Janet
Shepherd is EcoAgility's Founder and Principal Consultant.
Janet
has been working in the field of environmental management and social
responsibility since 1992. She has extensive experience in the retail
industry, of supply chain issues and working with NGO agendas.
Janet
is an experienced desktop researcher on environmental and Corporate
Social Responsibility matters. She has compiled research reports
for use in strategy, policy and procedure development, best practice
identification, benchmarking and the ethical screening of organisations
for their suitability as promotional partners.
Her
environmental management career started 20 years ago with The Body
Shop International plc. This encompassed their pioneering work on
environmental and social reporting, responsible ingredient sourcing,
packaging minimisation, recycling, supply chain screening, customer
engagement campaigns and stakeholder engagement.
For
several years Janet sat on the British Retail Consortium Environmental
Policy Advisory Group and its Working Group on Product Stewardship.
As well as being a Chartered Environmentalist and Full Member of the
Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), Janet is a
trained Environmental Management Systems Auditor and registered with IEMA as
an Environmental Auditor.
She
has been involved in the preparation of several qualitative and
quantitative environmental and wider 'Values' reports relating to
retailing and manufacturing and has recently contributed to reports
by the Business Leaders Initiative On Climate Change.
EcoAgility
is a strategic partner of White
Maple Consulting and has contributed an article on Corporate
Social Responsibility to their newsletter, The
Review. EcoAgility also has links with other respected associates,
who have complementary environmental, corporate social responsibility,
fair trade and general management expertise, in order to be able
to offer clients a service that best matches their needs.
